Learning and Skills Group 2010 Conference - programme announced

The programme for the upcoming Learning and Skills Group Conference on 8 June at Olympia 2 in London has been announced today and focuses on professional excellence in L&D.

The Learning and Skills Group is an international community of learning and development professionals interested in organisational learning and the application of learning technology in the workplace and more than 400 members will be attending the conference.

The focus of this year’s Learning and Skills Group conference programme is 'professional excellence' and follows on from the Learning Technologies 2010 event which ran in January. Conference topics are selected from popular themes at Learning Technologies 2010, the Learning and Skills Group’s monthly webinar series and from discussions on the Learning and Skills Group community site.

Learning and Skills Group Conference Chair, Donald H Taylor, is looking forward to welcoming delegates from across the L&D sector: “We’ve assembled over twenty great sessions covering the hottest topics being debated in L&D today. Things haven't been easy in L&D recently, and at this conference you'll find a place to let off steam, to chat, and to recharge your batteries. It will also be the chance for delegates to  network and share experiences with those they have met online through the Learning and Skills Group and at the Learning Technologies 2010 event in January.”

The conference includes sessions run by professionals from across the L&D sector and the event will have up to six rooms and sessions running at the same time, including auditorium presentations, round-table facilitated café sessions, workshops and small, interactive industry and special interest groups.

Speakers and facilitators at the event include:  Jay Cross, Donald Clark, Charles Jennings, Nigel Paine, David Allen, Matt Brewer, Patrick Dunn, Jane Hart, Denise Hudson-Lawson, Norman Lamont, Nick Marshallsay, Casson McRae, Laura Overton, Barry Sampson, Andy Tedd,  Julie Wedgwood, Steve Wheeler and David Wilson.

How to attend
The Learning and Skills Group conference is free-of-charge for Learning and Skills Group members and by invitation only.
