Learning for the YouTube generation
Martin’s presentation is one of two presentations, being organised for Thursday this week, by the Learning and Skills Group: the official community of the annual Learning Technologies Conference. Following the ‘Learning for the You Tube generation’ presentation, Dave Lewis, Co-Founder and CEO of Pinnacle Performance Company, will provide the Learning and Skills Group with some tips and techniques for improving communications in a presentation ‘Getting your audience to react the way you want, either in person or virtually!’
“As the YouTube generation comes of age and enters the workplace how do you engage them in learning? By using the medium they most prefer to consume,” says Martin Addison CEO of Video Arts.
During his presentation, L&D professionals will get to hear Martin’s tips for finding and deploying video content that engages learners and makes learning last longer. He’ll be covering: why people remember video learning; how to find and use video for learning; potential IT barriers; and taking learning beyond the classroom: using a case study of Video Art’s experience with their client, Volvo.
“How do you get your audience to react the way that you want them to, whether in person or virtually, professional or social? How do you influence other people reactions, simply by how you deliver what you say?” asks Dave Lewis.
In this webinar Dave Lewis presents a method that provides individuals, from introverts to polished speakers, with the tools and techniques needed to become more influential communicators. Dave will show how focusing on a message’s objective and delivery, allows presenters to achieve specific audience reactions, captivate audiences and communicate like a true leader.
The ‘Learning for the YouTube generation’ webinar is taking place on Thursday 20 December, 10 am UK time and will be followed with ‘Getting your audience to react the way you want, either in person or virtually!’ at 12 pm. Both sessions are free to attend. Joining instructions are available on the event websites: Learning for the YouTube generation and Getting your audience to react the way you want, either in person or virtually!.
The Learning and Skills Group is the official membership community of the annual Learning Technologies and Learning and Skills events.
