conference sessions

At the Learning and Skills Group Conference there are range of session types to attend:

opening address

An introduction to the conference and opening address from one of the learning industry's leading thinkers and visionaries.

Opening address: Learning at the heart of organisational change

auditorium sessions (AU)

Led by world-class speakers in the field of learning, delegates will hear great presentations focussing on key topics for our profession, and have time to discuss it in some detail.

cafe sessions (CA/CB/CC)

A leading industry expert shares thoughts on a given topic for about half the length of the session. The remainder of the session is taken up with interaction and debate.

CA3: Practical methods for getting noticed and getting buy in!

interest groups (IG)

These sessions are for small groups of people with a particular area of interest. We make a room available, along with a flipchart and endless tea and coffee. The rest is up to you.

IG1: Mobile learning interest group

IG2: Talent and competencies interest group

IG3: Learning management interest group

sector groups (SG)

These sessions are for small groups of people working within a particular sector. Again, we make a room available, with even more tea and coffee and it is then over to you.

SG1: Public sector group

SG2: Large private sector group

SG3: Banking and finance sector group

open networking sessions

There will also be a number of open networking sessions in the conference foyer during the day, that can be set up by delegates via the LSG community site. You decide the topic and the time and we’ll provide the coffee.
