Clive Rawson

Curriculum Developer, MOD
Currently employed as a training curriculum developer for the Merlin HM Mk1, Clive Rawson has been responsible for the design and build of an interactive, web based, Mission Systems Emulator for the Royal Navy’s newest helicopter.
Before joining the Civil Service Clive completed 26 years as an Observer in the Fleet Air Arm and has considerable experience as an aircrew instructor. His first encounter with e-learning came whilst on exchange post with the United States Navy back in 1985, long before the RN adopted such practices for the Merlin.
His current post has allowed him to utilise his instructional expertise with that of a programmer to develop a bespoke e-learning platform, suitable for integration into a complex training system but designed from the perspective of an operator/instructor. He is also the Royal British Legion county chairman for Cornwall.
