Business Area Manager, IBM Learning Development

Paul Jagger is a Business Area Manager for IBM Learning Development responsible for driving commercial business development within IBM’s custom learning design and development capability.

Paul has over two decades of experience in human performance support, workplace learning design and development, instructional facilitation, learning program and project management, IT product training business management, assessment and certification.

Paul has spoken on the critical importance of skills in the IT industry, and the need for learning to be embedded as a continuous and pervasive process in order to deliver successful business change at events such as the ASTD UK’s conference, the Institute of IT Training’s (IITT) National Trainers Conference, and the BCS Professional Development Summit.

Paul is an IBM Certified Consulting Learning Specialist, a Chartered IT Professional (L&D), Fellow of BCS The Chartered Institute for IT, Member of the Chartered Management Institute, secretary of the BCS L&D specialist group, member of the Open University’s undergraduate ICT Program committee and member of the National Skills Academy for IT’s Training Quality Panel.

Paul volunteers with BCS as a Chartered IT Professional assessor, and the Education & Training Committee of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists.

In April 2011 Paul received a Meritorious Service Award from BCS The Chartered Institute for IT for his unswerving commitment to raising professional standards among L&D practitioners in the IT profession.

Paul holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the University of Hertfordshire, is a Freeman of the City of London and the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists.
