Phil is a human performance consultant and educator, with particular skills in online communication and learning. He designs and delivers strategies and materials to improve the performance of people at work. He has trained several hundreds of people throughout Europe in performance analysis, instructional design, communication skills, and how to teach, learn and present work online.

An early pioneer in the field of E-learning, Phil is Past Chair of the eLearning Network. He is a tutor and co-designer of the CIPD Certificate in Blended Learning. He has developed and manages a team who practise skills of the highest order in online presentation, and who perform as e-moderators and support tutors for learners engaged in high profile accredited courses online. Much published, prolific speaker at conferences and regular track chair at Learning Technologies conferences, Phil is dedicated to the concept of "performance-based learning”.
