Reimagining the learner experience to improve outcomes for children
Getting volunteer counsellors trained up so that they are ready to start taking contacts from young people who turn to Childline as fast as possible, whilst never impacting quality, is a balancing act for the NSPCC. During COVID-19, demand for the Childline service increased at a time where traditional classroom induction training for new counsellors was paused. This perfect storm forced an opportunity for the NSPCC to utilise technology to revolutionise it’s induction programme. In this session, you will hear about how the NSPCC has improved training quality and capacity whilst providing a much improved learner experience by moving it’s 12 week Childline Induction Training programme online.
