More than a feeling - An evidence-based approach to soft-skills training
When we created a video call simulator that allowed learners to practice having a conversation about mental health with a colleague in distress, we were amazed by the results. Learner and stakeholder feedback was incredible and it really felt like we'd made something quite powerful. But how could we know?
To test out our theory, Make Real teamed up with Lynda Joy Gerry from the Bioengineering Institute at the University of Auckland. We designed an experiment and recruited over 100 participants, to see if our training really could encourage people to speak up if they saw someone struggling with their mental health. In this talk, we'll tell you what we found out and take you through the solution that's making all the difference.
