Plain English as a Business Advantage: From the ISO Standard to Scalable Game-Based Training
Christopher will speak about the ISO plain English standard: the parts ISO has already published and the parts that are coming. The big news – the pending release of part of the standard that will enable an organisation to “certify that it uses plain English systematically in its operations”. Christopher was the inaugural convenor of the ISO working group that develops the plain English standard.
One aspect of the plain English certification standard will likely be that everyone in the organisation has relevant training appropriate to their role. And one way to receive that training will be through a new online learning game from In-Game Learning, The Plain Game, which teaches people how to write in plain English.
