The Problem of Synchronous Learning
In this session we will unpack the problems of live learning as a major element of most training programmes. We will then see how technology can help firms get a better return on this very expensive and operationally complex format.
Despite huge advances in learning technologies, synchronous cohort-based learning still sits at the core of most training. The costs of this aspect of training are huge. And it’s increasingly becoming in person again, exacerbating the administrative burden.
It’s as if the spectrum of learning options is being ignored, and the costliest and logistically most challenging option remains the default. Technology has a critical role to play in advance of and after live learning.
- Grasp the fundamental problem of synchonous learning and how it wastes scarce resources
- Design 'before' and 'after' phases to help learners fully leverage expensive live learning
- Demonstrate training success in a far more robust way
