The power of curiosity
The shadow a manager casts on the team is one of the biggest drivers for productivity, engagement and the feeling of well-being of the team. Those managers who do this well, uplift the team. Those who don't stifle it. The key to effective task management and people leadership is curiosity.
Curious employees are more engaged, more motivated, more open to changes, and volunteer novel ideas at work. They learn faster, have greater willingness to try new things and see things from different perspectives. When the team is curious, we see reduced group conflict, less groupthink, less decision errors, and higher performance levels.
Join the founder of the Global Curiosity Institute, and former CLO of Cognizant, Stefaan van Hooydonk, as he explores how to foster curiosity in the workplace, exploring what we know about curiosity, why it is important for leaders, what the barriers are and what leaders can do to become better at intentionally curiosity.
Participants will be invited to do an individual assessment and find out about their own curiosity quotient. This assessment will be debriefed during the session. This diagnostic takes 10 minutes and is available in 8 languages.
