Thirty under 30 at Learning Technologies 2020 Career support for young L&D professionals Learning Technologies 2020 is to include a scholarship-style career development initiative to support young L&D professionals.Learning Technologies 2020 London, is to include for the first time a Thirty under 30 programme to support young L&D professionals during the early stages of their career. Donald H Taylor explains: “The goal of the programme is to provide support, visibility, voice and development for the next generation of learning leaders.”Past participant Hannah Duffy has recorded a short video below about her experiences of participating in the initiative and how it benefited her career, including boosting her confidence in implementing a learning management system, and providing practical advice on asking for a salary rise.

 

Women in Learning Movement at LT 2020 Conference session hosted by Kate Graham and Sharon Claffey Kalliouby, co-founders of the #womeninlearning Experiences and lessons learnt will by shared by leading female L&D professionals, along with insights into the different ways women can dynamically design their learning careers. Research shows that female L&D professioans are twice as likely as men to have administrative support roles – and half as likely to have leadership positions.We need to support women in building their careers so we can help to find a better balance across our industry. Supporting awareness of gender equality and creating environments committed to a more diverse future is something all organisations seek to do well.
