Detlef Hold leads the People/Organizational Capability function for Diagnostics Global Engineering at F. Hoffmann La Roche after a five-year stay in Silicon Valley/US at Genentech Inc., where he successfully implemented a Digital Learning & Knowledge Management strategy in a large-scale transformation program. His work experience entails learning at the interface of people, systems, technology & innovation; over 20+ years he realized new functions & strategic initiatives in global leadership roles in Corporate Learning, Leadership -, Talent - & Organizational Development. Prior to joining Roche in 2004, he was deputy head of Corporate Learning and an OD/Talent Management consultant.
MSc Work & Organizational Psychology and Post-grades in OD, Strategic change, Design Thinking, Facilitation, Executive Coaching, Global Leadership Development from AOEC and Roffey Park UK, Columbia, Stanford and San Jose State University, US; winner of several international learning/innovation awards, judge Brandon Hall and Chief Learning Officer awards, steering committee member Corporate Learning Network, Mentor IE Business School, Higher Ed Faculty in Switzerland, Ecuador, U.S (Stanford) and Executive Coach. When not reading about the future of work learning or cooking for his family, he enjoys open water swimming, biking, inline skating, salsa and exploring Ecuador.
