Laura Shaw
Programme manager,
Cats Protection
At Cats Protection I develop online training for our 9,000 volunteers, 550 staff
and the cat owning public. This is a new role that I started in August 2014.
Public courses are available on the website http://www.cats.org.uk/learn
(along with the Education team's school resources), the first course,
Understanding Feline Origins (UFO), is a free online course which will help
you care for your cat's basic needs by learning about its history and origins.
The next course we are developing is all about spotting infectious diseases in
cats, essential in the rescue environment. I work with teams across Cats
Protection, such as their Veterinary team and work within the Learning and
Development team who deliver training across the UK
