Richard leads the global capability agenda for Deloitte’s Major Programmes business, reflecting his passion for developing people and creating environments where diversity of input and experience can flourish to generate better outcomes for teams, clients and society. He has helped establish next generation programme delivery teams in 19 countries, covering over 1500 colleagues working in all industry sectors.
Richard is a Dean at Deloitte University, sponsoring and delivering industry-specific development programmes for mid and senior level executives from across EMEA. As part of the University faculty, he also facilitates a number of skills-based programmes focused on client relationship and storytelling capabilities.
Alongside his training roles, Richard is an executive-level transformation leader, with a 20 year track record in partnering with organisations to architect and deliver major cross-functional programmes. Working across the C-suite, he has led award-nominated, multi-million pound transformation programmes across EMEA with businesses including the UK National Lottery, British Telecom, Vodafone, Equinix, SES Astra, Sky and the BBC. He is recognised as a senior Transformation Architect who brings together operating model design, programme execution and change management expertise to create lasting business impact and value.
In 2020, Richard led a programme across public and private sector partners to create and operate key elements of the UK’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling access to testing for hard to reach groups and providing key scientific insights informing wider health policy.
