Tom has worked in the Learning and Development industry for the last 12 years, gaining experience in the contact centre and retail industries, providing behavioural, technical and leadership training. More recently, Tom has worked within the driving instructor training industry. Tom began his journey at the AA Driving School as a Customer Training and Onboarding Officer in 2023, before quickly transitioning to his current role, as the Curriculum Lead, where he supports trainee driving instructors to achieve their career aspirations of becoming an approved driving instructor, and manages a group of 120 self-employed trainers who are spread across the UK. Tom also manages the quality assurance of the two training products offered at the AA Driving School. He was a part of the team that won the "Best Use of Learning Data Analytics to Impact Learner and Business Performance" Bronze award at the Learning Technologies Awards 2024, alongside Thrive Learning, and in his spare time, he is studying for a degree in Social Psychology, having found a love of learning later in life.
