Is it D&I, or DEI, or DEIB? Whatever you call it, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (and any permutation of those terms) are increasingly important for individuals’ wellbeing, and organisational effectiveness. But what can L&D do to take concern about these issues beyond well-meaning platitudes and turn them into valuable action? Join our panel to find out.

L&D's role in building a culture that supports everyone

Who belongs? It’s a question that may not be answered explicitly in words, but will always find an answer in the actions of those in the workplace. The occasional look or remark, the absence of assistive technologies, and a lack of support can all effect individuals badly. This matters if you care about performance. It also matters if you care about people. What can L&D do? Should L&D do anything at all? This panel says L&D can and should take action, and provides experiences, insight and research to suggest what we can all do.

  • The cost of a divisive culture
  • The skills that support belonging
  • The invisibility of many differences
  • How everyone benefits from an open approach to DEIB
  • Practical actions that L&D can take
