Shortlist 2021 - Category F

F - Best use of social and collaborative learning technologies

FCA and Lowell Financial Services Group

Our regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority(FCA) reviewed how the industry was ‘living’ their conduct rules, and their review exposed shortcomings across the sector.

With an FCA deadline of just 3 months to demonstrate our c1500 UK colleagues knew about the conduct rules and could apply them confidently, we identified an online social-learning solution - ‘What Would You Do?’ (WWYD) to support the application of behaviours and conduct.

We partnered with Thinking Focus (WWYD creators) to deliver bespoke scenarios based on real issues. Feedback was fantastic, with people ranking WWYD as the most engaging and impactful of any online training they’d ex Centerperienced.

Hive Learning and Legal & General

In 2020, Legal and General (L&G) set out on a mission to develop a new set of principles and behaviours that they believed every person needed to embody to remain competitive, lead their business in our ever changing world, and deliver their promise of inclusive capitalism.

L&G partnered with Hive Learning to create a social and collaborative learning experience to help its leaders, managers and every employee develop and embed the behavioural skills necessary for growth.

For the first time, hundreds of L&G leaders from across the world were brought together in one place; the business saw benefits “in just a couple of weeks” which they thought would take years to achieve.

KPN and AtHand

KPN wishes to visibly improve the performance of their 5 different Security processes in an effective, new way!

Together a Serious Game is developed to update knowledge, to encourage social- and collaborative interaction between teams and to let colleagues engage with work and each other in a fun way!

They travel the world as real Globetrotters. Along the way, they discover practical assignments and quizzes. By fulfilling them individually and in teams, they improved their performance in a short period of time and were motivated to bringing security to an even higher level.

Sumo Digital

Sumo Group’s award-winning business include high-quality interactive videogame development from our own and client IP and creative services to the entertainment industries. The business is built on creativity and imagination and our staff are some of the most talented minds the creative industry has to offer. We needed to create a dynamic learning culture that surfaced the great skills and knowledge across our growing studio network to help our teams learn off each other and collaborate with ease.
