The concept of organizational learning was a huge challenge 30 years ago, but it has been silenced by the rise of learning technologies and the focus on individual goals, needs and skills. Sadly, you cannot build organizational resilience by simply upping the amount of individual learning. If you pursue individual learning to the exclusion of organizational learning you can actually weaken the resilience and acuity of the organization as the best people become frustrated and look for more suitable locations where organizational performance matches individual talent.
