In the eLearning standards world, SCORM is king, but it’s limited in terms of what data it tracks and its flexibility operating in modern ecosystems. xAPI can track anything and works with newer technologies, like AR/VR, but without cmi5, it doesn’t include instructions for launching with an LMS and isn’t as widely adopted. cmi5 is a great meet in the middle option, but adoption rates are still low.
