Removing barriers to learning
Is learning too exclusive or elite? When creating training we should be operating from a place of sympathy with those who don't know, and intentionally trying to remove barriers to learning - so why does it often feel as if we're creating learning for ourselves rather than the audience?
The barriers to learning are many and varied, from issues of accessibility to language to lack of time and motivation. In this session, Rosie Scott will be discussing some of these barriers and the sometimes flawed ways in which we as designers of training try to overcome them.
