IMI Norgren’s engineering team had pre-planned their modernised, simulation-based training of the existing Autodesk courses prior to the unprecedented times of the pandemic. LearningMate was engaged to seamlessly transform the purpose generated training videos into a comprehensive, blended learning program with well-structured, bite-sized self-learning components facilitating on-the-go learning for IMI engineers. LearningMate used Kolb’s experiential learning theory to create “hands-on” practice in a simulated environment and succeeded in enabling the learners to master the skills required. The simulations saved:
- an estimated 100 days travel time for on-site trainers
- approximately £130K in on-site training costs, including travel and facilitation of equipment
- potential loss of revenue due to non-availability of on-site training.
